Mit Hundertschaften von Prinzessinnen und Pferden begann Constanze von Kitzings frühe Leidenschaft für Stift und Papier. Heute bevorzugt sie lustig schräge Charaktere in satten Farben, die sie mit viel Detailliebe lebendig werden lässt. Von Kitzings Kinderbücher sind international preisgekrönt und in 14 Ländern erschienen. Prinzessinnen und Pferde zeichnet die Illustratorin übrigens immer noch – aber nur auf sehr ausdrücklichen Wunsch ihrer Kinder.
